This week I'm happy to report that the New York City Subways are for the most part back up and running.
I also mention the Subway Knits Podcast, in which Maria talks about her hurricane experience, and is holding a fundraiser for hurricane relief. Please visit her Ravelry Group for more info.
Also, the New York Aquarium has reported that they were able to "restore power and life support systems to the last remaining exhibits. Assuming we can maintain this generator power, we have no immediate plans to relocate any animals." Although it will need months and months of repair before reopening its doors.

On the needles:
Lately, I've been watching the show 'Breaking Bad' while knitting. It's entertaining, but I prefer genres of the 'Downton Abbey' and vampire drama caliber.
